Let's Be Happy

English Teacher Nuray CAHAN and her DESTEK-2 students joined LET’S BE HAPPY Etwinning project. The first draft of this project was created in a multilateral seminar held in Palermo, Italy, late in October 2023. Since then, this project has slowly become much wider and now includes students aged 9 to 18 from five different countries. The project aims to promote awareness of wellbeing in our students by developing social skills such as solidarity, tolerance, social and environmental concern, and empathy. We will do this through several activities and will hopefully guide our pupils towards the discovery that they and their fellow students from other countries face similar problems and derive happiness from similar things. The world needs happiness presented in all possible ways through kindness and humanity. We believe that we, as teachers, can positively affect our students’ behaviour and make them more aware and sensitive to the needs and wellbeing of others.
